Personal Experience

Hayden joined Pettey & Partrick as an Associate Attorney in May 2025. Hayden began his legal career in 2024 with the Johnston County District Attorney’s Office where he served as an Assistant District Attorney advocating for justice and victim’s rights. Throughout his time as an ADA, Hayden developed a passion for the courtroom and was able to gain valuable trial experience involving complex criminal matters. After gaining this experience, Hayden decided to transition into civil defense practice.

Hayden provides a diverse knowledge of many different areas of the law. During law school he spent time working in the Legal Affairs Division for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the Legal Department for Volvo Financial Services, as well as clerking for a criminal defense attorney in Sampson County. Hayden was involved in multiple clubs at Elon, serving as a member of the Business Law Association and Criminal Law Society.

Outside of his law career, Hayden enjoys being on the golf course, traveling, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
