John T. Honeycutt defends businesses, professionals, and individuals in personal injury and wrongful death claims of all types, including motor vehicle negligence claims, product liability claims, premises liability and inadequate security claims, and toxic tort claims. He also represents contractors and subcontractors in construction defect actions. Mr. Honeycutt's practice includes representation of insurers in insurance coverage litigation, including auto liability and uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, homeowners coverage, and CGL coverage, in both state and federal court. Mr. Honeycutt began his practice in 1992 in Durham, NC, with a small firm specializing in medical malpractice. In 1995, he joined a firm that became DeBank & Honeycutt in 1998, when Mr. Honeycutt was made partner. In 2000, Mr. Honeycutt joined Yates, McLamb & Weyher, LLP, where he practiced for 23 years before joining Pettey & Partrick, LLP, at its inception in 2023.
